8.777 is not a repeating decimal, it is a terminating decimal
however, if you wrote 8.777... then this would be a repeating decimal

also, if you wrote 8.777,notice the bar over the last 7, then this would be a repeating decimal
did you mean to write 8.777... ?

The bar should be over the last 7, not over the 8. This happens a lot; characters get misaligned.
