A resistor R is in series with a parallel LC circuit as shown in the figure. The individual component values are
R = 100 ohms XL = j 25 ohms XC = -j 50 ohms

What is the total source current, IS?

No figure is included with this problem.  But to find current, you need to find the impedance Z of the network.  The maximum current will be the ratio of maximum applied voltage to impedance.

 

I_max = V_max/Z

 

You will have to appropriately combine R with the capacitive and inductive reactances to get Z.  Without a diagram of the circuit, we cannot give you much help here.
