0.0023601=2.3601x10^(-3)

 

(1.25*10⁷)/(2.5*10⁴)=(1.25)/(2.5)*(10⁷)/(10⁴)=0.5*10³=500

 

I don't understand the other problems with the small x and small numbers.

Maybe someone else can understand what you mean.
