quotient is a mathematical operation requiring two things, i.e. the quotient of a and b is a ÷ b, or a/b.
In this case, the problem mentions y / (-3.6) and goes on to say < 6.5.
So you have this inequality: y / (-3.6) < 6.5.
I will multiply both sides by -3.6, and I get: y > (-3.6)(6.5)
or equivalently y > - 117/5.
Notice how, because the statement was multiplied by a negative quantity, the INEQUALITY SYMBOL reversed direction.
