Well as a quick exercise, make sure we understand how to do this sort of thing in much simpler examples. If I said half of rick's class have a favorite color of blue, and half of those (students with the favorite color of blue) have a favorite food of pizza, and then I asked you "what fraction of the students in rick's class have favorite color of blue and favorite food of pizza?", what would your answer be? I'm going to guess you know it would be 1/4. How do you know that?
Well, when the fractions are very easy, you know to just take half of the half, which is a quarter. The problem is no different with more complicated fractions, you multiply the fractions together to get your answer.
So 2/3 of students in Rick's class watched TV.
Of those, 3/8 watched a reality show.
So the fraction of student in Rick's class that watched a reality show is 2/3 * 3/8 = 2/8 = 1/4
Now do the exact same thing one more time to figure out the final answer.
