French culture differs from region to region

I just want to know if the French culture differs from region to region.

Yes as you know we have different counties in France. Each one has its own particularities ( food, traditional customs, accents ). If you stay in the city it's different than in the country side.

Food for exemple:

On the South of France we can cook with olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, peppers , zucchini, olives, melon, lamb, provence's herbs, basil, truffles. We can play bowls on the special place in the village. The wine is the rosé of provence and white wine.and Pastis.

In another hand in Lyon, it's different. We can cook with cream, butter, special food like "Quenelle", chicken, mushrooms, beaf. The wine is more red and white.

On the East it's the area for Champagne and Quiche Lorraine , on the West it's more around the sea, salt butter, crepes, porks.

On the North potatoes and french fries with Calvados are usual the famous food.

On the center it's the best place of cheeses, beaf, pork.

The subjects are plenty. Is for that France are a small country but many different interesting places to live.

As you travel through France, you will notices differences in food, tastes, specialties, diet, accents, dialects, mannerisms, landscape, apparel, local customs, housing, cost of living, climate, and pace of life. Life in small towns and villages is vastly different from life in the big cities. You will find this to be true in all countries of any size.
