Hi Nichole for Las Cruces, NM...hope you had a great day at school. I'm connecting you from the northern part of NM.
Okay...first of all I'm going to give you a hint on how to solve this problem, however, you will need to know how to solve these kinds of Algebra problems. They are basic skills.
So first of all, do you understand what your teacher is expecting you to do to answer this...Hint...CHANGE the equation so that after some Algebra operations you will have something like: r = ?
Instead of the equation of:
V = 1/3 π r2 h
You will have to change the equation, using Algebra operations:
Second HINT...whatever operation you do on one side of the equal sign, you do on the opposite side. Let's start by getting the 1/3 taken care of
First step: Multiple both sides by 3...
3 • V = 3(1/3) π r2 h
now we have a new equation:
3V = 3(1/3) π r2 h re-write
3V = π r2 h
Okay...now that I have got you started...continue...you will need to do these. Contact me if you need further help.
