How long will it take to drive 40 miles at 60 mph

I don’t understand how to solve this problem

60 mph means that you are going 60 miles / 60 minutes = 1 mile per minute

which means that in 40 minutes at that rate you will go 40 miles!

D = 40

 

R = 60

 

T = unknown

 

D = R * T

 

40 = 60 * T

 

Solve for T. The answer will be in hours.
