Calculus will seem easy if you have the right tutor!
3.5 GPA has z = (3.5-4)/0.2 = 5(-½) = -2.5. My standard normal distribution table says that the probability for this number is 0.00621 so only 0.621 % of admitted students would have had a lower GPA ... assuming that the context of this question is admissions at some very selective institution.
