I take it you are looking for the equation of a line with a slope of -1 that passes through the point (-4,-1/4).

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y + 1/4 = -1(x + 4)

y + 1/4 = -x - 4

y = -x - 4 1/4      or

y + x = -4 1/4
