When x ≤ -1, (x-1)(x+1) ≥ 0
When -1 < x < 1, (x-1)(x+1) < 0
When x≥1, (x-1)(x+1) ≥ 0
So, (x-1)(x+1)≥0 on (-∞, -1] ∪ [1,∞)
When x < 1, (x-1)(x-2) > 0
When 1≤x≤2, (x-1)(x-2) ≤ 0
When x > 2, (x-1)(x-2) > 0
