Presumably you are given two endpoints of a line segment.
If they are (a,b) and (c,d) then the midpoint has coordinates (m,n) and you compute m =(a+c)/2 and n = (b+d)2.
If you keep getting this wrong, then you must be having trouble when some of the numbers being added have differing signs or they're both negative.
Just be more careful.(You can use a calculator to find a+c, for example, when a=-3 and c=4 (in which case m=½).
