find the domain of (x+ 7)(x- 7) / x^2 + 49

find the domain for the question

Andrew M.

Are we missing a grouping parenthesis?
[(x+7)(x-7)]/(x2 + 49)   or as written [(x+7)(x-7)]/x2 + 49

As written, the domain is all real numbers except zero:
(-∞, 0)U(0, ∞) since we cannot divide by zero

With the grouping parenthesis and denominator (x2 + 49)
the denominator will never be zero so the domain is all real numbers.
(-∞, ∞)
