G(-13) = -5*(-13)^2 + 5(-13) - 1 = 5*169 + 5(-13) - 1 = 845 - 65 - 1= 779

Taylor please note that it doing so, be careful with the parenthesis.
(-13)^2 = (-13)*(-13) <--- by definition of squaring a number
= 169
but -13^2 = - 13*13 = -169 <--- only one copy of the negative
