A dime rolls along the table for a distance of 1.3 meters. Jack pushes it 40 cm further in the same direction. How many meters total has the dime traveled?

1.3 m + 40 cm = 1.3 m + 0.4 m = 1.7 meters

 

Note that 40 cm * 1 meter/100 cm = 0.4 meters
