Difference in score: 17 - 6 = 11.

Find r by dividing the difference by the number of remaining runs:

11 / 4 = 2.something.

Because we need to win, we must get round up to the next integer. So 2.something rounds up to 3.

Therefore, if r = 3, then you will score 3 runs per the 4 innings, so 12 total, and the final score will be 17 to (12 +6) which is 17 to 18. Meaning, you will win.
