150+125+75+180+F

------------------------     and this average needs to be 175, so set the fraction equal to 175

                 5

 

150+125+75+180+F
------------------------  = 175     and solve for "F"
           5

 

 

Mult both sides by 5

 

150+125+75+180+F = 875

 

 

Combine like terms on the left.

 

530 + F = 875

 

 

Subtract 530 from both sides and find that Friday money is

 

F = 875 - 530 = 345

 

Answer is $345.
