If you were driving in a VERY fast car, how would the things you approach look different than normal? How would the things you drive away from look different? Explain.

If you are going fast enough, the light from objects you are approaching will be shifted toward the blue end of the spectrum.  The light from objects you are driving away from will be shifted toward the red end of the spectrum. By the Doppler effect, which I assume you saw in your physics class, there will be shifting to higher frequency when an object and an observer move toward each other, and there will be shifting to lower frequency when an object and an observer move away from each other.
