Expand and simplify.  I assume the term on the right is (1/2)², not 1/(2²), and you have a circle of radius 1/2 centered at (1/2, 0).

 

(x - 1/2)² + (y - 0)² = (1/2)²

 

(x² - x + 1/4) + (y²) = 1/4

 

x² + y² - x = 0
