I presume you are asking for the area to the RIGHT of the normal distribution z-value of -1.42. This is equal to 1- (the %age listed in the table). The z-value for -1.42 is 0.0778, or 7.78%. So the area under the normal distribution curve to the right of that value is 1 - 7.78% or 92.22%.
