A crossover cable is the same as a regular cable except that the wires for Transmit and Receive go to Receive and Transmit, respectively (that is, switched on one end).
PLZ be careful to externally label crossover cables so they will not be used for standard cables.
Here's are two of my Networking questions:
Q: What's the difference between a grey CAT-5 cable, a red CAT-5 cable, and a black CAT-5 cable?
A: One is grey. one is red, and one is black.
Q: Is a USB port serial or parallel??
A: USB
