can you explain me cellular division breifly?

i think i know something about cell division but I literally want to the the whole process being in class 9 the teachers are not explaining us saying that you will get to know about this in higher classes but please its a humble request to taught me the whole process plzzz......

Mark M nicely explained you the steps, these are true for two types of cell division: mitosis and meiosis. 

 

All body cells in animals an plants divide into two daughter cells by mitosis.

 

All germ cells in plants and animals divide by meiosis, one cycle of meiosis produces four daughter cells.

 

Stages of cell division are same in mitosis and meiosis, the difference is that meiosis produces daughter cells with half the number of chromosomes: these are haploid cells that become diploid after fertilization.

 

One cycle of meiosis includes two cell divisions but that of mitosis only includes one division,

 

Prophase of first meiotic division is prolonged with distinct stages.
