I really don't understand this part of algebra, please give me a simple and effective awnser!

5/18 * 12/35 = (5*12) / (18*35) = 10/105

 

pretty simple: the numbers on the top (numerator) are multiplied together, and the numbers in the bottom (denominator) are multiplied together. And you can always simplify any top with any bottom in multiplication since terms can be rearranged. For example:

 

(4/7)*(7/3) = 4/3    you can just cross out the 7 on top and 7 in bottom.

 

It could also be written as:  (4/3)* (7/7) = (4/3)*1 = 4/3   (just rearranging the terms which is allowed in multiplication).

Hi Krystian!

For this particular problem, it's just simply multiplying the numbers across: top times top over bottom times bottom. So,

 

5/18 * 12/35  =  5*12 / 18*35 

 

                     =  60/630

 

and this can be simplified to 2/21.
