“**Best tutor out there**”

I am an experienced math tutor who has worked at George Mason University Math Learning Center for about three years, where I tutored students in variety of math courses such as algebra, probability, and calculus. I have a strong passion for teaching and more importantly I have been highly successful in transferring my knowledge to my students. I

Seyed is Absolutely the best tutor out there. I thought math would be painful like it was in high school, but Seyed made it manageable and Saved my math grade this semester!

Seyed was very helpful in tutoring my daughter in trig for her PreCalc class. He is most competent and really wants his student to learn and understand the material. I think he does an excellent job.

We went over reviews of pre-calculus. He was patient and determined to make sure I understood the material, using many ways to show me how to solve problems. He was very enthusiastic about the subject which made me interested and motivated to feel the same way about calculus.

After going through a couple math tutors on Wyzant, my friend and I came to the conclusion that we probably wouldn't be able to find any good tutors on an online platform like this one. Luckily, Seyed proved us wrong in just one hour of tutoring that really helped our understanding of not only calculus but also how to bring geometry and other classes into problem solving

He was extremely knowledgeable in calculus and understood subject inside and out and made it very easy for my son to understand how calculus works

Before I started tutoring with Seyed I was barely passing calculus 1 and I had two very disappointing test scores which were killing my GPA. I was half way through the semester and I decided I needed professional help. I did three sessions with Seyed for my last test which I made a 98% on. His ability to break down the information into easier concepts was amazing for me. I used the techniques and skills he taught me and applied it to the final. I finished the Calculus 1 with a 90.85%. Thanks to Seyed I was able to save my GPA from ruin. He is a great tutor!

Seyed is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain topics in a matter that my daughter could clearly understand.

I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again

Seyed is a caring and engaging tutor. He makes a real effort with my daughter for her 1st year college calculus class...he inquires and prepares before, and follows up after his session.

Very nice and competent person. Thanks Seyed!

He is an outstanding tutor! Dedicated, patient, and invested in his student's success. He helped me raise my GMAT score.

He helped me to get a better insight about the tests over summation series in Calculus II. I like how he views the problem, analyzes many aspects for many problems, and carefully explains to me the mathematical method that solves each problem. Seyed help expand my insight and clarified some of the confusion I had on some of my homework questions.

Seyed helped me with probability. He explained all the concepts clearly and taught to my book which was helpful.

Seyed really helped me learn the fundamental skills and concepts I lacked. He explained each problem we went over clearly and carefully. He is very dedicated to his teaching. As a result of my tutoring sessions with Seyed, I was able to greatly improve my quantitative GRE score. I definitely recommend Seyed to anyone who is struggling to improve their math skills on their own

Kaveh was a great calculus tutor. He made topics such as implicit differentiation and the chain rule very clear, and was patient in helping me understand everything. He was easy to schedule with, always arrived on time, and approached our meetings with enthusiasm. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed working with him.

This was my third time now with Kaveh, and he has been awesome in helping me prepare to take my calculus class. Today he even went a little over the agreed upon time for free to cover more material.

Kaveh is very responsible and is always on time. He makes an effort to know what he will be helping you beforehand and is always prepared with any information or practices that you need.

Great tutor. He was clear and knowledgeable about the subject, which was very helpful for me to understand statistics better than I did before.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a lot of tutoring experience in algebra. I think algebra 2 is the most fun and yet important of all math courses as it is the base of higher level courses (e.g precalculus and calculus). I have a lot of experience tutoring algebra at George Mason University, as well as helping students in one on one settings, and helping them pass their algebra course or the math placement test (a test which contains mostly algebra questions and by passing that one would receive credit for algebra without having to take it) with high grades/scores.

The highlight of my math tutoring experience is in tutoring Calculus. I helped a student who had failed two quizzes early in the semester and had lost confidence, to master the material and do very well on his quizzes and exams, and get an A in his course. I also met another student near the end of his semester who had solid D in his class and was hoping for a C to pass. I helped him out and he did so well on his final exam that he got a B as his final grade. It is important to note that the later student had never taken a course in algebra prior to taking Calculus and yet he managed to do very well with my help and of course a lot of effort of his own.

I took differential equations during my undergraduate program and passed with grade of A. I have helped students with differential equations at George Mason University math learning center. I have a solid knowledge of first and second order differential equations and have applied the concepts in many of electrical engineering courses such as circuits and signal and systems.

I have background in a lot of topics contained in discrete math courses, such as sets, and probability. Moreover, I have recently borrowed a copy of a popular discrete math textbook, and have read through the material, and I have a good general understanding of most of the topics.

I have a minor degree in economics from George Mason University. I have passed introductory as well as intermediate micro and macro economics courses, business statistics, as well as money and banking. I have passed all of the courses mentioned above with grade of A+ and A.

I have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University. I have passed a lot of courses in electronics and signals and systems. I have tutored students in signals and systems (e.g. finding the transfer function, unit step response, etc) and fundamentals of electric circuits (finding the Thevinin and Norton equivalent circuit, solving first and second order linear circuits, etc).

I was born in Iran and I speak Farsi fluently as my first language. I attended elementary, middle and high school in Iran. I have been exposed to Persian literature and have read and enjoyed the epic poem of Shahnameh by the great Persian poet Ferdowsi, Gulistan of Sa'adi, as well as the work of other great Persian poets like Hafiz and Rumi.

I am familiar with most topics covered in finite math such as sets, functions and graph, inequalities, probability and statistics. I have a lot of experience tutoring these topics at the college level in various math courses such as algebra and statistics. I have helped students do very well in these subjects and obtain decent grades.

I took a course in linear algebra in my undergraduate and got an A. while working at a university's Math Learning Center, I helped students with variety of math courses including linear algebra. I have applied some linear algebra topics such as "matrices" in other engineering courses such as control and systems.

I have a working knowledge of MATLAB. I have used MATLAB in many courses during my undergrad, as well as graduate program. Some courses that I have used MATLAB include signals and systems, and computational Finance. I have tutored students with basic MATLAB defining a vector, (simple loops, conditional statements, etc) in the past.
