(2x + 7) 3y + z Where x=10, y=3, z=5

One of my sons teachers say answer is 8 (as do 99% of others)
His other teacher say 32
We are all using order of operations PEMDAS but there seems to be confusion as to whether or not multiply first as order of operation says to do or do what every comes first left to right.
There can not be two answers to one question.

What I see is that the sign is missing is a division sign to get:
(2x + 7) /3y + z = plugging in the values, the answer will be 8

I Think That we have to solve the problem as is because if not, we are solving another problem.
The person that may change the problem is the one that posted it explaining what happened.
Thanks anyway.
