I have some questions that I desperately need help on for my math class.

 

I need a step by step process on how to solve this questions among several others

 

(-1/6)^-2

 

what I do know is that you have to use the quotient rule and the negative exponent rule to solve this but I have absolutely no ide which goes first and how to do the work.

 

I know that a quotient rule that states (a/c)^n = a^n/c^n    &    negative exponents rule is a^-n = 1/a^n

Just as the rule states, (-1/6)^-2 = 1/(-1/6)^2 = 1/(1/36) = 36
