The first and last sentences have the same two persons but with different results, that is not possible because there is an undefined variable, maybe the last sentence is Kevin plus Ken equals 102 and then the problem can be solved as follows: Ken=x; Kirk=y and Kevin=z
x+y=97
y+z=89
x+z=102
solving this system we have that the weights are:
Kirk 42 Kg = y
Kevin= 47 Kg = z
Ken = 55Kg = x

As standard procedure for word problems. Choose a variable for unknowns, what problem is asking to find out.
X - Ken's weight
Y - Kirk's weight
Zv - Keven's weight.
Convert the information given into algebraic expression:
X + Y = 97
Y + Z = 89
X + Z = 102
Then Solve the problem of 3 equation and 3 unknown:
Subtract first from the 3rd
X + Z - X - Y = 102 - 97 = 5
Z - y = 5
Z + Y = 89
2Z = 94
Z = 47
Y = 42
X = 97 -42 = 55
