If f(x) = 2x+1 and g(x) = (1/2)(x-1) what is the value of f (g(-4))
Start off by finding g(-4) by plugging -4 into the g(x) equation and simplifying
g(-4) = (1/2)(-4-1)
g(-4) = (1/2)(-5)
g(-4) = -5/2
Next, take this value and plug it into f(x) equation
f(-5/2) = 2(-5/2)+1
f(-5/2) = -5+1
f(-5/2) = -4
