6x^2+x-1=0 solve using any method

Please help me understand I know the answer is  1/3, -1/2 think I am missing a step at how to get this. Thank you

Because there is an x2 you will have to answers. All you need to do is factor 6x2+x-1. Then set both factors equal to 0.
