1. solve 4√x = 20

 

    I am pretty sure the answer is x = 25 but I do not know whto show the work

4 √x = 20

 

  Divide both sides by 4

 

   √x = 5

 

 Square both sides:

  

    ( √X  ) ^2  = 25

 

        X = 25

 

 In equations you always solving for X , find the Value of  X  :  X = ?

       √Y  + √(Y + 7 ) = 7 

 

       ( √(Y + 7) = 7 -√y

 

       ( √( Y + 7 ) ^ 2  = ( 7 - √Y ) ^2

 

          Y + 7 = 49 - 14 √Y + Y 

 

              49 - 7 = 14 √Y

 

              42 = 14 √Y

 

               3 = √Y 

 

               9 = Y

 

 Test:

 

    √9 + √(9 + 7)     7

 

       3   + 4      =    7 

 

   3. 

 

    √( X + 11) = √X  + 1

 

   ( √ ( X + 11) ) ^2  = (√X + 1 ) ^2

 

         X + 11 = X + 2 √X + 1

 

          11 - 1  = 2 √X 

 

             10 = 2 √X 

 

              5 = √X

              X = 25
