Upstream the speed opposing, and downstream they add.
B  -  C = 22 miles/ 60 min= 11/30 miles/min / Speed upstream

B + C = 22 miles/ 40 min= 11/20 miles/min       / speed  downstream

2 B = 11/30+ 11 /20 = 55/60 = 11/ 12

B = 11/24  miles/min   / speed of boat in still water

C =   11/24 - 11/30 = 11/120 miles/ second
