Hi Naomi,
We have a function y = f(x). Its inverse is f-1(y) = x.
If f(3) = 2, then what will f-1(2) be?
Kemal G.
It may seem like I am repeating your question but I provided you the formal definition of inverse function in the first line.
I used x and y instead of numbers.
Your function is taking 3 and yielding 2. When the inverse of the function takes 2, it will yield 3.
Does this make sense?
