if .6 lbs = 1 X then 10lbs = ? X

I want to know how many pillows will I be able to make with 10 lbs if it takes .6 lbs for 1 pillow.

I do not know how to work that one out.  I haven't done algebra since 9th grade when I was 14 . I am 46 now and after 25+ years that knowledge escapes me, ok?  If I knew how to figure that out I wouldn't have asked for the answer.

Well, DeAnna, I am 81 years old, but who's counting?

Use a proportion! 0.6/1 = 10/X.

You can cross-multiply; you get 0.6X = 10; now X = 10/0.6 which you can compute with a calculator (or do long division).
