From log rules you know that the base b logarithm of a number is the exponent that we need to raise the base in order to get the number. So,
If y=bx then X=logby
example, if 24=16 then the log216=4
Now, natural log has it's base, e, to the function. So,
If y=ex then x=logey which is the same as x=ln y
an example where ln4=x would mean the loge4=x and it's exponential equation would be: ex=4
e is the base, x is your exponent and 4 is your y.
Identify your base, exponent, and your y. Then rewrite the whole thing set to your y.
The answer to your a) lnx=4, is: x=e4
