To have someone help you, you must bring the specific problem to that person.  The first line of defense is YOUR TEACHER.  It's a teacher's job to help students (otherwise all the student fail).  So speak up, politely, and pay attention to the step-by-step answers.  Reading a good textbook is also to be recommended.
