Connective tissue properties vary based on their functional specialization. Based on its function, connective tissue might have specialized matrix, its cell types and fiber type as well as cells forming a particular connective tissue might vary. For instance, both blood and bones belong to broad category of connective tissue yet one is aqueous and the other is a solid rock kind of tissue!
