Like Kenneth said - if you know the probability that something will not happen, to find the probability that it will happen you just subtract the first number from 1.
You can think of it like:
Juan has a 45% chance of passing his test, so out of 100% of chances, he has a 100%-45% chance of passing.
(Percentages are just probabilities written a different way.)
Seems like Juan should have studied more.
