A square window has a perimeter of 60 inches. What is the area of the window?

TBH I just don't understand and I want to know the answer please help

Hi Alona,

 

If the perimeter of the square window is 60 inches, then each side must be 15 inches.  (Divide 60 by 4)

 

To find the area, multiply the length and width. Both the length and the width are 15 inches.  So the area is (15 in.)(15 in.) = 225 square inches.
