f you go to the mini golf place and it cost $5.00 to golf and an additional round to play is $2.00. I only brought $15 with me to spend. How many rounds of golf can I play?

5 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 +2 = 15 so that would be 6 rounds of minigolf (just count how many 'terms' are in the sum.

I see it that way but when I put in equation format I get 5.

2g<15-5
2g<10
2g/2<10/2

Let g be the # of rounds played at only $2 per round.
2g+5 ≤ 15
2g ≤ 10
g ≤ 5.
So you would be able to play five rounds of golf at $2, PLUS one round at $5; total 6 rounds.
