Solve cos x + sin x tan x =sec x

I am not sure how to properly Verify the trigonommetric identity of this question I need an example as to what to solve

                                                  -------

                                                  cos x 

 

multiply cos x by cos x to make denominators the same

    cos^2 x + sin^2 x

= ----------------------

       cos x

 

cos^2 x + sin^2 x = 1 (one of the basic identities of trigonometry)

        1

= ----------

      cos x

 

= sec x
