Lets look at the first one - You need to get 2x on the right side of the equation - Simplest way to do that is to subtract 2x from both sides - Once you've done that you can divide 5 by both sides, and then, you'll have "y" on one side - I don't know if the problem you're working on requires you to go further than that, but at the very least, that's how you would isolate that "y" - I hope this helps you, and best of all luck to you on this one...
