A plane travels 2.5 km at an angle of 35° to the ground and then changes direction and travels 5.2 km at an angle of 22° to the ground. What is the magnitude and direction of the plane’s total displacement?

Here P = 2.5 Km , Q = 5.2 Km and  α = 180 -13 =167 degree

For Angle of Resultant displacement with vector P use

θ = tan ^-1 (Q sin α /P+ Q cos α)
