Hi Dizzy, first find the slope of the line passing through the two points.
Slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Let (-2, 4) represent the (x1, y1) point.
Slope = (-2 - 4) / (-3 - (-2))
Slope = -6 / -1, or 6/1
Using the point-slope method, the same point for (x1, y1), and the slope, m = 6,
y - y1 = m * (x - x1)
y - 4 = 6 * (x - (-2)
y - 4 = 6x + 12
Put into y-intercept form:
y = 6x + 16
Answer: B.
