This problem is tough because you'll need to rearrange it BEFORE you can start to solve it.

Once you have double checked the order of the problem, then start with changing the format.  Since 83.50 is much larger than 12 you can expect to get a decimal as an answer.                 _________

As we know 0's on the right end AFTER a decimal are only place holders so we can drop or add them as needed to line 

 up the digits in order to do the division problem.  The problem then becomes:
