My answer was -60 is it correct??

We have to do PEMDAS.

 

First we take care of the term in outer parenthesis.

 

6 + [(5 - 7) - 4]

 

 

This has another set of parenthesis and one set of brackets.

 

Taking care of the parenthesis, we have

 

6 + [(-2) - 4]

 

 

Now, we take what is in the brackets.

 

6 + [-6]

 

 

This reduces to 0.

 

 

0 is the value of the outer parenthesis broken down.  Multiply this value by -5.

 

-5(0) = 0
