I assume you mean that each tennis ball WEIGHS 2 OZ and her total assemblage consists of three tennis balls & two basketballs.
If the total assemblage weighs 48 oz, then the two basketballs weigh 48 - 3(2) oz when we subtract the tennis balls.
The two basketballs therefore weigh 42 oz, so one basketball weighs half of that, i.e. 21 oz.
