Mariko plans to cover the floors with wood, which is sold by the square foot. Wood flooring costs $4.59 per square foot. Can she purchase all of the flooring for the living room for under $1000?

length of living room = 2.5 * 80/12 =  16.67  foot

 

Area of living room = 12.5* 16.67 = 208.33  square foot

 

Cost of wood flooring material = 208.33sqr.ft * 4.59$/sqr.ft = $956.25
