Outside diameter of the tubing = 3 1/4" The outside radius is 1 5/8" (half the diameter). To find the inside radius we subtract the wall thickness from the outside radius which is 1 5/8 - 3/16 =1 7/16". to find the inside diameter we double the inside radius =2*(1 7/16")=2 7/8".
We used the fact that D=2r or r=D/2 where D is the diameter and r is the radius of a circle.
