7 seniors, 11 adults, 12 children going to aquariu. The tix are $14.95 per person. Find the total cost of tix. Justify by using the Distributive Property.

You could solve this problem like this: 7 x 14.95 + 11 x 14.95 + 12 x 14.95 = 104.65 + 164.45 + 179.40 = 448.50

 

OR you could use the distributive property and solve it like this: (7 + 11 + 12)14.95 = (30)14.95 = 448.50

 

Either way, the answer is $448.50
