Almost always, the best way to graph a linear equation is to find its two intercepts.

 

a)  for first line: when x = 0, y= 9;  when y = 0, x = 9/4 or 4.5.  So graph this line (2x+y=0).

 

     for the next line (2x-5y=15), when x = 0, y =-3; when y = 0, x = 7.5.  So graph this second line.

     Read, from the graph, the coordinates of the point of intersection.
